SCHOOL BREAKFAST SUCCESS STORY
In September, a letter was sent to all the building principals inviting their staff and students to a free breakfast. Each teacher scheduled a day to bring down their class to the lunch room. The elementary students were given a free breakfast and a MYPyramid Cup. Grades 3-12 were also given a Breakfast and Lunch survey to take back to the classroom to complete and return to the kitchen. Through this year additional nutritional give-a-ways have been given to the elementary students. There has been an increase in breakfast participation of 22% over the same period last year.
