SCHOOL BREAKFAST SUCCESS STORY
Last winter we participated in the "Who's Coming to Breakfast?" campaign at our elementary schools, a program designed to boost participation and dairy consumption. At Hillcrest School there was much anticipation as we built momentum, climaxing with a visit from a "secret celebrity." The kids were convinced Hannah Montana was going to have breakfast with them!
At Hillcrest and at Luce Rd. School (and also at all our other schools) our new Resource Officer, Jason, was our special guest. The kids were not disappointed when the police officer, in full uniform, came to eat with them. At Luce Rd., however, one little boy said to Jason with conviction, "Hey- my daddy's in jail...and I think it was YOU who took him there!" There were no hard feelings, apparently, as the little boy was happy to share his morning meal with Officer Jason, never-the-less. The campaign was a big success at all of our buildings.
