EDUCATION FOR STAFF, STUDENTS AND FAMILIES ABOUT ASTHMA
SUCCESS STORY

We are excited about our past year and where we can go in the future in regards to an asthma friendly school. Our focus this year has been on gathering statistics of students that have asthma and on the educational component of asthma. We have made tremendous efforts to educate all of our staff including the after school program this year. We utilized the asthma 101 program by the American Lung Association. Workshops were done for parents and students as well! Our belief is that education is the key to the prevention of asthma exacerbations, absenteeism and procedures with asthma crisis.
