EDUCATION FOR STAFF, STUDENTS AND FAMILIES ABOUT ASTHMA
SUCCESS STORY

Denby High School presented a School Health Fair on May 14. The main theme of the fair was underage alcohol consumption and tobacco prevention, especially smoking on the school premises. We had a total of 28 vendors participate in the fair. One of our vendors included Henry Ford Hospital's program PUFF CITY an Asthma Management Program. Puff City has been with our school since the beginning of the school year and has instituted a web based computer program designed to help teenagers deal with their asthma or breathing problems. During this Health Fair, exhibits of posters by Denby students depicting messages about tobacco prevention, the dangers of second-hand smoke and underage drinking were on display. The Health Fair was held during the last Parent Teacher Conference and was well attended by parents, staff and teachers.
